Our Educators

Our qualified educator Lorraine-Elizabethis professionally trained in early childhood education theory and practice.

Lorraine graduated from the Early Childhood Care and Education program at Heritage College in Gatineau Quebec and completed a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History at Ottawa University.

She has over 20 years experience working with children, families and community. Her specialty is in the arts, specifically singing, dancing, sports and visual art. Lorraine is also a mother of a 21 year old son.

Our science teacher and our music specialist both share our fundamental philosophy on learning.

We ensure a safe learning environment by doing background checks on all of our instructors and volunteers.

All of our staff have successfully completed CPR and first-aid training.

Here is what others have to say about Lorraine:

“Lorraine was the teacher of my twins for a year. It was during this period that my boys have finally started loving daycare. Integration was difficult and Lorraine and her colleague at the time were able to approach them with psychology. She was able to recognize and respect their differences. Every morning, she would get them in a corner with humor to bring them to mingle with the group. Besides her ease with children, qualities that I have noticed in Lorraine is her energy, enthusiasm and love. She treated the children as if they were his own. With great affection and sensitivity. Every day, I found her full of energy and initiative, ready to go on an adventure with her group. I felt relieved and reassured that she had custody of my children. She left a positive mark in them and remains until today a warm memory. Thank you again.”

Pier Courville, Author and Parent

“Let me begin by first establishing the fact that my child, Sam, has gross motor skills development delays. Lorraine has worked diligently over the past two years to improve her shills while at the same time treating Sam equal to her peers. Sam received no special treatment, but rather individualized and personal care, catered to her particular needs…To further Lorraine’s credit, Sam’s confidence has increased tremendously over the past year. She thinks no more in terms of what she can’t do but what she can do.”

Aimee S. Aubuchon, Psychologist and Parent
“I believe that a teacher’s most important role is to foster a love of learning in her students. Lorraine has exceeded my expectations in this area.”

Josephine Beddia, Parent
“She is very passionate, and takes very seriously the works that she does with the kids”

Carine Clerge, Parent
“Lorraine has provided excellent and very complete education to our daughter. Our daughter has been stimulated physically, mentally and emotionally by Lorraine’s teaching. Her teaching style is fun and yet challenging, and is adapted to the individual needs of each child while at the same time balancing the needs of the whole group.”

Jenny Jeanes, Parent

“Her supervisor and colleagues recognize her skills, patience and creativity working with children, and the feedback from parents was always very positive. She knew how to create a safe, very lively and positive environment for the children”

Manon Poirier, YMCA Human Resource Director
“Lorraine is a person anyone should count themselves lucky having on their team. “

Catherine Perron CP/il, Parent
“Lorraine provided a safe and nurturing environment and never underestimated any of the children-always encouraging and stimulating their growth and development.”

Janet Drysdale, Parent
“Lorraine demonstrates her skills and abilities with a marvellous sense of motivation and excitement that children, and adults alike, respond to in a most positive manner”

Linda McPherson, B.Ed(McGill) Cert. Spec. Ed (McGill). S.C.C.
“Lorraine is a fierce advocate for children.  She understands the importance of the formative years.  I know that her life will always include children and those children’s lives will be better for it.”
